Gelatinous greetings!

Perhaps you are wondering, who are the dudes? Well, the Dudes are a bunch of guys and girls, from all over the Maritimes, who come from varied backgrounds and have different day jobs but share a love of games. Some of us are students, some IT gurus, some athletes, and others parents.

The Dudes were formed when a bunch of gamers, who had met through a local Halifax hobby shop, banded together with our passion for gaming, and decided to try to give back to our community while having fun at the same time.

Society tends to stereo-type gamers as anti-social troglodytes. We want to change that negative perception and show that gamers are just as concerned citizens as the next person. Our goal is to raise the visibility of gamers and games through charitable works and undo a bit of the negative reputation that we get; hence, the “Gamers for Good” part of our name.

We hope to use this site as an educational tool for gamers and non-gamers alike, and a place for gamers to meet other like-minded people in their area.
