Neelan of the Black Oak Tribe - One of the Muzamil people from the desert of Aji, south of Stanholm, Neelan is a young warrior who fights with light blade and hand axe. He is known for his tumbling fighting style, his strict sense of honour, and his disdain for the follies of the Stanholmian people.

Hamish MacCranog - A great bear of a man from the Dannan tribe of the Noisu, a warlike people who live in the snowy northern reaches of Stanholm. Wielding his father's legendary greatsword and wearing only a kilt in lieu of armour, Hamish wades into battle with strangely-accented warcries and little concern for his own safety.

Robert Pennyworth - A young hunter on the frontier, introduced to the group by Tayzen Laster while investigating the strange deaths surrounding Creek City. An expert with a bow, Pennyworth has been on the frontier for many years, working with a group called the Horizoners to explore and chart the Stanholmian expansion.

William "Ox" Miller - Captured by the Poquoi and rescued by the group, Ox is a gentle giant who's weapon of choice is a large maul. He's shown no hesitancy in fighting off enemies of the group, but outside of combat, his speech and behaviour seems very childlike and simplistic.
