Great show - bad ending

Postby orcdoubleax » Tue Sep 24, 2013 11:21 am

With the Dexter Finale we have yet another show that did not know what to do with itself at the end.

So in honor of that what series finale was the most disappointing.

Battlestar Galactica - Disappearing Starbuck and Baltar is an angel WTF.

Deadwood - Are we going to fight or what? Guess not.

Sopranos - Fade to Black. We are not watching a french art film here.

Seinfeld - it is a glorified clip show

Lost - if you stuck with that series you deserved that ending

Which one was the most disappointing.

I voted Seinfeld.

Regarding the others:

Battlestar Galactica - I can deal with the ending but I think my only real complaint is the final third of the finale in which they did a complete turnaround from the dreary, dismal tone of the show into total sap. I also did not buy that every single one of the survivors felt that they should give up tech.

Deadwood - Watching it a second time around and knowing more about the history (plus knowing the plans for season 4) I don't think was so much a bad series finale as it was a victim of premature cancellation

Sopranos - It's not french art. It's pretty obvious that from the fact that the last 10-15 minutes were directly from Tony's viewpoint that this was the way they showed that it ended in him being offed (unlike his real-life inspiration Vinnie Ocean who turned states evidence, went into witness protection and then got brought up on indecency charges at his new strip club he opened in Houston)

Seinfeld - This was the most disappointing as it was not even funny for the most part.

Lost - I only saw the first episode. 'nuff said.
