Taking the tunnel to the left, the party marches single line down the narrow tunnel, keeping to the side as much as possible to avoid stepping in the thick stream of human waste flowing down the centre of the tunnel. This path twists and turns for several minutes before opening up into a dark damp room. Ahead of the tunnel opening in a bridge that leads to another opening on the other side of this tunnel.

Maul looks down over the bridge and notes that about 15-20 feet below is another tunnel running perpendicular to the tunnel above.

Crossing the bridge, the group follows the tunnel for a few more minutes as the smell of sewage begins to grow again. The amount of waste passing through the tunnel grows pretty deep here, your boots are now soaked in disgusting sludge making you very uncomfortable.

Up ahead the tunnel splits in three directions.
-To the Left
- To the Right
-And back from where you came.

Mehesh buckles over while bracing himself against the tunnel wall. He vomits a stream of coffee and the mornings rations into the river of excrement at his feet. His companions look to him with concern, but he shrugs them off. Pointing to the left tunnel, he wipes the throw up from the edges of his mouth and says "Left!"

Following the leftmost tunnel, the passage curves to the left so much so that you almost feel as if you are going in a circle. Up ahead is another fork in the road leaving you once again with three options.

Maul takes a knee in the river of filth. The barbarian struggles to gain a breath of air in the stinky sewage tunnel. He grows claustrophobic yearning for open skies and fresh air.

exits:
-Continue straight ahead
- take a sharp right
-or go back from where you came

The party presses ahead as the stench builds to an unbearable level. Through watery eyes, the party spots a platform up ahead. A large pile of bodies is heaped over 10 feet high at the foot of a steep stairway that leads to a hatch in the ceiling. A mass of flies circle your head as you approach. Severed limbs wriggling with maggots dangle into the black water off of the platform. It appears that someone was tossing the bodies down the hatch in the ceiling quite some time ago.

Behind the small platform, the tunnel continues ahead, off into the darkness.

Maul climbs up onto the platform and begins clearing the stairway one piece of rotten flesh at a time. The decomposed flesh falls apart in his hands like a boiled rack of ribs. Throwing rotten pieces of flesh into the murky water below, he vomits uncontrollably while swatting away the hordes of flies that circle his head.

Winch hikes the collar of his jacket up, in a desparate attempt to stop the flying rotten flesh from hitting him in the face."Try and keep yer'mout closed, Maul;" he blurts out to the frenzied barbarian.

Mehesh rolls up his sleeves and helps his friend clear the way of the pile of rotting flesh. Truly this must be a low point in the parties adventure. Tired and cold, covered in putrid bile and guts, they carry on. Tying to think of anything other than the task at hand, the two men manage to move enough of the bodies out of the way to gain access to the ladder leading up to the hatch in the ceiling. Maul and Mehesh both feel quite sick to their stomachs, barely containing their disgust, as they ascend the slippery blood soaked staircase. Lifting the hatch up over his head, Maul peaks up into the area above, finding a small room no bigger than 10' by 10' wide with a single closed wooden door.

"We need to find water and clean ourselves." Says Mehesh, striding to the closed door and examining it, then listening at it to see if he hears anything.

The faint sound of groaning can be heard not too far from the other side of the door. A rattling noise sounding like the wind blowing something up against the side of the building can also be heard.

As Mehesh begins hammering in some iron pitons around the door frame, the sounds of undead gathering on the other side grows. Moaning in torment, the creatures scratch and claw at the other side of the door. Once the door is securely held in place, Maul attempts to smash a hole in the door with his giant hammer.

Maul winds up to break a hole in the top half of the door, causing Mehesh to have to duck out of the way in order to avoid being hit in the head. Putting a little too much force behind the swing of the hammer, Maul smashes the door into splinters, sending pieces of wood flying into the room and sending a group of undead stumbling back. Failing to make a small hole, the barbarian has totally destroyed the door, revealing a room full of undead!

Initiative!
