Word of the Ancients (Su): Once per day, as they cast a spell, the character can use this ability to use the magic language of the Ancients when they cast the spell and enhance it in one of the following manners:
• +4 bonus to the spells caster level
• +2 bonus to the spells save DC
• apply the effects of the Widen Spell feat
• apply the effects of any one of the following metamagic feats: Burning Spell, Concussive Spell, Empower Spell, Reach Spell (to increase range by 2 steps)
• apply the effects of any two of the following metamagic feats: Enlarge Spell, Extend Spell, Piercing Spell, Reach Spell (to increase range by 1 step), Silent Spell, Still Spell

Using this ability requires the caster to tap deep into the primal magic of the universe and can cause great strain on the mind and body of the caster. Using this ability requires a DC 20 Fort save. On a success the caster is staggered for 1 round per spell level. On a failure they are stunned for 1 round per spell level and takes 1d6 points of damage per spell level
